LETŠENG LARGE DIAMOND HAUL CONTINUES WITH 114 CARAT

Maseru, Dec 11 (The Night’s Watch) – Gem Diamons Limited on Monday recovered a 114 carat Type 1 yellow diamond from its Letšeng Diamond Mine in Mokhotlong.

The company said this is the 11th diamond of over 100 carats to be recovered at Letšeng this year.

The Night’s Watch reported in November that the mine recovered a 120 top quality type IIa diamond on November 20.

A 125 carat diamond of low quality was recovered on November 19.

Owned by the London-listed Gem Diamonds and the Lesotho government, Letšeng Diamond Mine is the highest dollar per carat kimberlite diamond mine in the world.

It is Lesotho’s most successful diamond mine operation. NW
